L’Dor v Dor/Crossing the Line

L’Dor v Dor, which in Hebrew means “from Generation to Generation”, explores the importance of passing on teachings of ones elders from one generation to the next. It also means the two-way gift that children give to the elders – fresh ideas and attitudes. “Crossing the Line” explores those periods in history in which individuals or groups have changed, or crossed the line, either literally or figuratively. What began as two series of paintings has merged into one, as the tension keeps emerging between the passing of tradition and teachings from generation to generation, and a change from those teachings, brought on by those who “crossed the line.”
